Ukhamba Educational Services respects your privacy and your child's. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who we are

Ukhamba Educational Services is based in Wilropark, Roodepoort. Our Information Officer is Marié Mieny, who you can reach at connect@ukhamba.pro.

2. What we collect

• When you sign up for a free resource: your first name and email address.
• When you enquire: your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us about your child.
• When you register a learner: parent or guardian names and contact details, your learner's name, grade and school, and payment records.
• Support information: with your consent, details about a disability, learning difficulty, medication or allergy that helps us support your learner safely.
• Photos and recordings: only if you have given consent on the Registration Form.

We collect information about children only from their parent or guardian.

3. Why we use it

• To send you the resources you asked for
• To answer your enquiries
• To enrol, teach and support your learner
• To manage payments and keep records
• To send occasional updates about Ukhamba, if you agreed to receive them

We never sell or rent your information.

4. Who we share it with

Only the founding partners of Ukhamba can see your information. We use trusted service providers to run our business, such as our email service, website host and online meeting platform, and they may process your information on our behalf. We will share information with others only if the law requires it.

5. How we keep it safe

We store information securely, with access limited to the people who need it. Support information about a learner is kept confidential and used only to support them in sessions.

6. How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete it securely. If you unsubscribe from our emails, we remove you from our mailing list.

7. Your rights

You may ask us at any time to:

• See the information we hold about you or your child
• Correct or update it
• Delete it, where we are not required to keep it
• Stop sending you emails (every email includes an unsubscribe link)
• Withdraw your consent for photos or recordings

Email connect@ukhamba.pro and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
